Garden of Rebirth is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) duly registered in St Kitts and Nevis since 2014. This NGO was shaped by Etsu Bradshaw-Caines who realized the need for such an entity during her stint as Director of Gender Affairs in St Kitts and Nevis and her professional life as an Educator. With the help of grants, Mrs Bradshaw-Caines has transformed her home, bequeathed to her from her grandmother Mary Jane Francis, into a secure, eco-friendly, empowerment centre for women and their children.
The Garden of Rebirth Empowerment Centre will provide a safe space for women and their children, who are victims of abusive relationships, to rebuild their lives. The empowerment centre will form part of a supportive advocacy network and act as an intermediary between the abused women (and their children) and the state in order to ensure that laws and regulations are effectively implemented. Although they might be victims of their immediate circumstances, this is a temporary alterable state, and it does not make them perpetual or permanent victims.
The Garden of Rebirth Board of Advisors was elected in 2018 and the organisation recently received 501(c)(3) non-profit status in the United States of America in that year as well. Currently, the organisation awaits the acceptance of the proposal presented to the Government of St Kitts and Nevis so that its doors can be officially opened.
In order to be self-sustainable our NGO welcomes your support.
